General

What areas do you serve?

We're based in Austin, Texas and provide aerial seeding and pond sealing across Texas, and beyond for larger projects.

What services do you offer?

We offer two core services: aerial seeding for pastures, rangeland, and reclamation sites, and aerial pond sealing using polymer-based sealants.

Pond Sealing

What material do you use?

At Sky Senderos, we have used multiple sealant materials to seal ponds around the state.

The most common are:

Soil Floc, Puddle Seal, Seek Leak,

How much do I need?

This depends on your soil type and the severity of the leak. For the average application, A 110 lb unit covers up to 3,000 square feet. For a 1-acre pond, roughly 16 units (1,760 lbs) are needed, which is significantly less material than traditional bentonite clay.

What if I don't know where the leak is?

If the leak isn't precisely located, it is recommended to treat the entire pond surface.

What is PAM?

PAM is a synthetic (man-made), potassium- or sodium-based, long-chain polymer (the same molecule repeating itself many times) designed to attract either positively charged particles or negatively charged particles. Anionic polyacrylamide has no aquatic toxicity.

Do I need to drain the pond?

No. Polymer-based sealants are designed to be applied directly into the water, saving time and money and protecting aquatic life. It is best applied when the pond is full or has at least 3-4 feet of water to ensure enough hydrostatic pressure exists to draw the product into the leaks. It works best in soils that have at least some clay or silt content and will not work on bare rock. It should be distributed evenly over the water surface, and our automated aerial approach ensures an even distribution across the water body.

Can it be used on all pond types?

It works best in ponds with a clay or silt base. It does not work on concrete, rubber/plastic liners, or purely rocky/gravelly bottoms.

What are the best conditions for application?

It is best applied in water at least 3-4 feet deep, which provides the necessary pressure to push the sealant into leaks.

Is the seal permanent?

It creates a long-lasting, durable seal. However, in some cases of severe soil instability, it may require reapplication over a long period.

Is it safe for fish?

Yes the polymer products will not harm fish, however if the fish are a very small size in a small body of water it is possible that they will become trapped in the material as it sinks and suffocate. Larger fish will remain unharmed. To this date we have only experienced one instance of fish kill and the loss of life was very minimal.

Are aquatic plants an issue for these materials?

Lily pads and dense aquatic vegetation should be removed or cleared before application, as they can interfere with proper coverage. However, their return to a pond will not negatively affect the liner.

What is Soilfloc?

Soilfloc is a professional-grade, two-part polymer sealant (Part A and Part B) designed for superior seepage control in ponds, lakes, dams, and canals. It is a non-toxic, biodegradable, anionic polyacrylamide (PAM). The polymer swells in soil pores and attracts charged clay particles, creating a robust barrier that blocks water flow through leaks, cracks, and porous soils.

What is Seek Leak?

SeekLeak Pond Sealing Polymer is a purpose-built, two-part polymer system designed to reduce and stop water loss in ponds, reservoirs, and small lakes. Unlike traditional repair methods, SeekLeak does not require draining the pond. This preserves the fishery community and dramatically reduces the labor, equipment, and cost associated with traditional pond rehab methods. It can be applied to existing ponds with water in place or during pond construction and rehabilitation.

What is Puddle Seal?

Puddle Seal is a non-hazardous, multi-purpose polymer-based pond sealer and pit liner. It provides an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional pond lining systems such as plastic liners and bentonite clay.

Seeding

What can you seed with a drone?

We apply seed across pastures, rangeland, food plots, and reclamation or erosion-control sites throughout Texas  including slopes, wet areas, and rough terrain that's difficult for ground equipment to reach.

Can I provide my own seed mix?

Yes. We apply the seed mix matched to your land and goals, and calibrate the application rate to suit it. If you're unsure what to plant, we're happy to point you in the right direction.

How is drone seeding better than spreading from the ground?

The drone follows a GPS-guided flight path for even, mapped coverage and reaches terrain that ground rigs can't — without compacting soil, leaving ruts, or getting stuck in wet or rough ground.

What do I need to do after the seed is applied?

In the days after application, it's important to drag the field so the seed makes good soil contact and is protected from birds and rodents. We'll share aftercare guidance and follow up on how the stand establishes.

When is the best time to seed?

It depends on your seed mix and goals. We'll help you time the application for the best establishment. Application dates may shift with weather.

How far in advance should I book a seeding?

We recommend booking one to three weeks ahead to lock in your preferred date. No deposit is required to get on the calendar.
